for clients looking to create a contemporary, custom look that feels distinctly their own.
Based in our London atelier, the bespoke process is a creative and highly personalised experience,
with each client closely involved in the development of their dress from initial concept through to final fitting.
Design and fit are considered in unison from the very beginning, allowing the garment to be shaped around the individual.
Meet the Designer
For over a decade, Söder Studio founder Addison has been creating bespoke bridal dresses that are deeply personal and thoughtfully designed to reflect each client’s individual style, story, and vision.
Alongside her work under the Söder Studio name, Addison has spent many years working behind the scenes for some of London’s fashion and bridal houses, including Victoria Beckham, Tamara Ralph and Savannah Miller Bridal, specialising in the development and making of bespoke garments.
Söder Studio Bridal is a natural evolution of that work, a dedicated bespoke bridal service bringing together Addison’s considered design aesthetic, technical expertise and deep understanding of fit for the contemporary bride
Her experience across fashion and bridal has given Addison a particular ability to translate a client’s personal style into a contemporary bridal look. Working collaboratively from the initial ideas through to the final fitting, she considers both design and construction from the outset, creating garments that feel modern, personal and effortless.
THE BESPOKE PROCESS
Each bespoke commission is a personal and collaborative experience.
Design & Development
We start by discussing your style, aesthetic and vision for your wedding day. Based on our conversations, I will create a series of initial sketches and curate a selection of fabric options that align with your inspiration. This collaborative stage is all about shaping a design that feels uniquely you.
Toile (prototyping)
Once a design direction is chosen, we move on to creating a toile, which is a prototype of your dress made from a cotton or similar fabric that will mimic your final fabric. This allows us to perfect the fit and make any necessary design adjustments directly on your body, almost like sculpting the gown to you. Most clients require one to two toile fittings during this stage to ensure everything is just right.
Final Construction
This is when your wedding dress begins to take shape in the chosen fabric. Our machinist will carefully cut and sew your gown. During this stage please expect two to three additional fittings where we’ll fine-tune every detail.
The bespoke process typically takes several months from start to finish, depending on the complexity of the design and scheduling of fittings.
